This project is a photographic essay that explores the glorification of my own addiction and what that might look like. I’ve been smoking for almost 15 years now and have never really asked myself: when is it actually enough? How deeply are cultural narratives tied to personal rituals, and is smoking really a symbol of freedom and rebellion — or was it ever? A critical examination of one’s own addiction rarely happens in everyday life.
